We are an independent site focused on banking services, investment options, and especially payment methods. We may receive compensation when ads or links are clicked. Rather than high-cost consumer loans, we focus on presenting and comparing account options from modern banks and the payment cards linked to them.
We also write about saving and investing. We do not encourage our readers to use credit. Still, getting a premium credit card can be worthwhile, as many higher-priced products come with valuable benefits such as complimentary airport lounge visits, and many payment cards - even those with no annual fee - include useful insurance.
Our Background
We built Tietoinen talous alongside our travel site, Finnoy Travel. On our travel site, we publish tips and reviews related to travel services. Since the early days of Finnoy Travel, we have also written payment card reviews from a traveller's perspective, but for clarity, we decided to place the finance content on its own site. At the same time, we broadened our perspective, so the new reviews are aimed at both everyday life and holidays.
